Company Overview
Eastern Investments Limited (EIL) is a NBFC, incorporated in 1927. EIL is the holding company of The Orissa Minerals Development Company Limited and The Bisra Stone Lime Company Limited. Eastern Investments share price has been a significant aspect of the company’s trajectory. EIL was one of the group companies of Bird & Co. Ltd when it came under control of Govt. of India after enactment of Bird & Company Ltd (Acquisition) Act, 1980. It became a PSU w.e.f 19th March, 2010. Currently, EIL is listed at CSE. EIL became a subsidiary of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL) on 5th January, 2011.
The revenue of EIL is mainly from dividend income from OMDC and interest on term deposits. As on 31th March, 2022, the total income of EIL was Rs. 176 crores. As on 31-March-2022, the total shares outstanding were 1,418, 953 of face value of Rs 10 each. It has not declared any dividend during FY 2022.
